PlayStation and Xbox consoles both support **netflix.com/tv2** activation code sign-in for Netflix. This is the easiest way to authenticate because it avoids the tedious process of typing an email address and password one character at a time with a controller. Instead, you do the typing at **netflix.com/tv2** on your phone or computer, and the console signs in automatically.

## Console Tips

<Tip>
  Make sure the streaming app is fully up to date before attempting to sign in. On PlayStation, you can check for app updates by highlighting the app on the home screen, pressing the **Options** button on your controller, and selecting **Check for Update**. On Xbox, the Microsoft Store handles updates automatically in the background — you can also open the **Microsoft Store**, go to **Library**, and select **Get updates** to force a refresh. Outdated apps may not display the activation code screen correctly, or may show an error during the activation process.
</Tip>

<Warning>
  Activation codes expire after a few minutes. Complete the sign-in process on your phone or computer before the timer runs out — the TV screen may show a countdown. If the code does expire before you finish, don't worry: simply return to the streaming app on your console and select Sign In again. The console will generate a brand-new activation code that you can use to start the process over.
</Warning>
