PlayStation and Xbox consoles both support netflix.com/tv2 activation code sign-in for Netflix. This is the easiest way to authenticate because it avoids the tedious process of typing an email address and password one character at a time with a controller. Instead, you do the typing at netflix.com/tv2 on your phone or computer, and the console signs in automatically.
1

Navigate to the Media tab on the PlayStation home screen

From the PlayStation home screen (PS4 or PS5), navigate to the Media tab using the directional buttons or the DualSense / DualShock controller. On PS5 this tab is prominent on the main menu; on PS4 look for it in the top navigation bar.
2

Open the streaming app

Scroll through your available media apps and select the streaming service you want to sign in to — for example, Netflix, Disney+, or Max. If the app is not yet installed, go to the PlayStation Store, search for it, and download it for free before continuing.
3

Select Sign In

Launch the app and choose Sign In on the welcome or account screen. If the app presents multiple sign-in methods, select the option that refers to signing in via a web browser or using an activation code to initiate the code-based flow.
4

The app displays a URL and activation code

Your PlayStation TV screen will show an activation URL (such as netflix.com/tv2) and a short unique code. The code is time-sensitive — most services give you between 5 and 15 minutes to complete the process, so move to the next step promptly.
5

Open the URL on your phone or computer

On your smartphone, tablet, or computer, open a web browser and navigate to the activation URL shown on your PlayStation screen. Sign in to your streaming account with your username and password if you are not already logged in.
6

Enter the code

In the activation field on your second device, carefully type the code displayed on your PlayStation screen and submit it. Double-check the characters — codes are typically alphanumeric and case-insensitive, but it’s worth confirming.
7

Return to the PlayStation — the app refreshes and is signed in

Head back to your PlayStation. The streaming app will detect the completed activation within seconds and automatically refresh, bringing you to your account’s personalized home screen. You’re ready to start watching.

Console Tips

Make sure the streaming app is fully up to date before attempting to sign in. On PlayStation, you can check for app updates by highlighting the app on the home screen, pressing the Options button on your controller, and selecting Check for Update. On Xbox, the Microsoft Store handles updates automatically in the background — you can also open the Microsoft Store, go to Library, and select Get updates to force a refresh. Outdated apps may not display the activation code screen correctly, or may show an error during the activation process.
Activation codes expire after a few minutes. Complete the sign-in process on your phone or computer before the timer runs out — the TV screen may show a countdown. If the code does expire before you finish, don’t worry: simply return to the streaming app on your console and select Sign In again. The console will generate a brand-new activation code that you can use to start the process over.
