Most modern Smart TVs — including Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio — support netflix.com/tv2 activation code sign-in. Instead of typing your Netflix password with the TV remote, you visit netflix.com/tv2 on your phone or computer and enter the code displayed on your TV.

Samsung

1. Open Smart Hub

   Press the Home button on your Samsung remote to open Smart Hub. This is the central hub for all your apps and content.

2. Find and launch the streaming app

   Use the directional pad to navigate to the streaming app you want to sign in to (e.g. Netflix). If it isn’t already installed, open the Apps section and download it first.

3. Select Sign In

5. Visit the URL on your phone or computer

   On your smartphone, tablet, or computer, open a browser and navigate to the URL shown on the TV. Sign in to your streaming account if prompted.

6. Enter the code

   Type the code displayed on your Samsung TV into the field on your phone or computer and confirm.

7. TV refreshes and signs you in

   Your Samsung TV will detect the completed activation and automatically refresh the app, signing you in. You’re now ready to start streaming.

LG

1. Press the Home button

   Press the Home button on your LG Magic Remote or standard LG remote to open the LG home screen launcher.

2. Open the streaming app from LG Content Store

   Navigate to the streaming app in your app row. If you haven’t installed it yet, open the LG Content Store, search for the app, and install it before proceeding.

3. Select Sign In

   Launch the app and choose Sign In. If offered a choice, select the option that references signing in via a browser or another device to trigger the activation code flow.

4. Visit the URL displayed on a second device

   On your phone, tablet, or computer, open a web browser and go to the URL shown on your LG TV’s screen (e.g. netflix.com/tv2). Log in to your streaming account if you aren’t already signed in.

5. Enter the code

   In the activation field on your second device, carefully type the code displayed on your LG TV screen. Codes are usually 4–8 characters and are case-insensitive.

6. Confirm and the TV signs in

   Submit the code and wait a moment. Your LG TV will recognize the successful activation, and the streaming app will sign you in automatically.

Sony

1. Press the Home button on the remote

   Press the Home button on your Sony TV remote (Google TV or Android TV models) to open the main home screen.

2. Navigate to Apps

   Scroll to the Apps row or section on the home screen. If you use a Google TV model, you may find apps pinned directly to the home screen.

3. Open the streaming app

   Select and open the streaming app you wish to use. If it is not yet installed, go to the Google Play Store on the TV to download and install it.

4. Choose Sign In

   On the app’s welcome screen, select Sign In. When prompted, choose the option to sign in using a web browser or another device to initiate the activation code process.

5. Note the activation URL and code

   The Sony TV screen will display an activation URL and a unique code. Take note of both — or keep the TV visible from wherever you’ll be using your second device.

6. Sign in and enter the code on another device

   On your phone, tablet, or computer, navigate to the activation URL in a browser. Sign in to your streaming account, then enter the code shown on your Sony TV.

7. Activation completes

   Once the code is accepted, your Sony TV will refresh and display your streaming account’s home screen, confirming that sign-in was successful.

Vizio

1. Press V or Home on the remote

   Press the V button (older Vizio remotes) or the Home button (newer SmartCast remotes) to open the Vizio SmartCast home screen.

2. Open the streaming app

   From the SmartCast home screen, locate the streaming app you want. If it is not visible, select Apps or the WatchFree+ tab and search for the app. Install it if needed.

3. Select Sign In

   Open the app and select Sign In on the welcome screen. Choose the sign-in method that uses a separate device or browser when offered.

4. Follow on-screen instructions to get the code

   The TV will display a URL and an activation code. Make a note of them. Some Vizio apps also let you scan a QR code with your phone instead of typing the URL manually.

5. Visit the URL on your phone or computer

6. Enter the code

7. TV signs you in

   Your Vizio TV detects the successful activation and signs you in to the streaming app automatically. The app will load your account’s home screen.

Tips for Smart TVs

If the streaming app doesn’t show an activation code option when you first open it, look for alternative sign-in labels such as “Sign in on a web browser”, “Use another device to sign in”, or “Sign in with an activation code”. Selecting one of these will start the code-based activation flow. Additionally, make sure your streaming app is fully up to date — manufacturers and streaming services frequently release updates that improve the sign-in experience.
