Step-by-Step Activation
Open the Streaming App
Turn on your TV and launch the streaming app you want to sign in to — for example, Netflix. Navigate to the app using your remote and open it. If you are not already signed in, the app will display a Sign In screen rather than taking you directly to the content library. Look for a button or option that says Sign In or Activate, and select it.
Receive Your Activation Code
After you select Sign In, the app will contact the streaming service’s servers and generate a unique activation code just for your session. This code is typically 6–8 characters long — a mix of letters and numbers — and will be displayed prominently on your TV screen. The screen will also show the URL you need to visit on your other device, such as

Pick up your phone, tablet, or computer and open your preferred web browser. Type the URL shown on your TV screen into the address bar and press Go or Enter. Make sure to enter the URL exactly as shown — the page will load a sign-in and activation form hosted by the streaming service.
Sign In to Your Account
On the page that loads, you will be prompted to log in to your streaming account. Enter the email address and password associated with your account. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, complete that verification step as well. Once you are logged in, the page will typically advance automatically to the code-entry screen.
Enter the Activation Code
You will see a text field asking for the activation code displayed on your TV. Type or paste the code exactly as it appears on your TV screen. Codes are case-sensitive, so pay attention to uppercase and lowercase letters. Double-check the code before submitting — a single incorrect character will cause the activation to fail and you will need to try again with a fresh code.
TV Signs In Automatically
After you submit the code, the streaming service verifies it against the session waiting on your TV. Within a few seconds — sometimes almost instantly — your TV app will refresh and display your account’s home screen, ready to browse and watch. Your TV is now fully signed in. You can set down your phone and enjoy your content.
